A short list: kills of a kind, a certain haul, a delivery. Resets every day.
Progress
Daily and weekly missions, tier quests, the ledger of kills, marks and the titles you can wear.
QuestsFour kinds, and they all measure things you were going to do anyway.

A short list: kills of a kind, a certain haul, a delivery. Resets every day.

A longer version of the same, worth more. Resets every week.

The content of one tier: breadth first, then the tier's hard target. Cleared once, never again.

Lifetime counters - total kills, total profit, a profession level. Never resets.
Quest rewards are gold and experience, and the board pays out only when a task is finished - there is no partial credit, and there is no timer punishing you for a long trip.
The ledgerEvery monster you have ever killed is counted, forever, and the count has milestones. Those milestones pay points, and points buy marks: a lasting bonus placed on one monster, earned by having killed enough of it. You may carry 4 at a time. Points are spent when you place a mark and lost when you take it off, so a mark is a decision, not a slider - and it is the reason a spot you have hunted for weeks pays better than a fresh one of the same level.
The marks
Every loot line of that monster drops more often, gear included.

Only its crafting materials drop more often, never the scrap - a supply line, not a bigger pile to sell.

Its coin is worth more to you. Weight never eats this one, so it pays the same on every spot.

More experience from that monster.

Fighting it trains your skills faster. Nothing else changes.

A slice of the damage you deal to it comes back as mana - the cheapest way to cut a mana potion bill.

You take less of its elemental damage. Nothing against a purely physical attacker - armor is the answer to those.

Your hits land harder on that monster - fewer seconds per kill, so more of everything per hour.

You crit that monster more often. Crits sit in the tail rather than the average, so good hunts get better and bad ones get no safer.

You block that monster more often, whole hits at a time. Unlike Bulwark it ignores the element.
TitlesTitles sit above your name. Some come from finishing content, some from feats nobody asked you to do, and one comes from playing the whole game with a rule you set yourself.

HardcoreHardcore is opt-in, per trip. You take more experience for the hours and you take a real consequence if the trip ends badly - and the titles that come out of it are the only proof that it happened. Blessings soften the loss and can be bought up to 5 at a time; that is the whole safety net, and it costs gold.
RankingsRankings open at L10 and compare characters on level, on each skill, on gold and on the boards that come and go with bosses. They are a scoreboard, not a reward track - nothing on them makes your character stronger.
