A coin is an item
It sits in your backpack, not in the interface. It weighs 0.01 oz, which is nothing until the pile is large - and then it is the reason a rich trip has to turn for home.
Money
Gold that weighs, the auction house, the depot, and what premium may never buy.
Gold weighs
It sits in your backpack, not in the interface. It weighs 0.01 oz, which is nothing until the pile is large - and then it is the reason a rich trip has to turn for home.

From tier 4 up the mint starts paying in ducats worth 100 gp each, so the same fortune comes home as one disc instead of a hundred, and the loose change is what stays behind.
The backpack is your offlineTwo limits run at once: ounces and bag slots. Whichever fills first ends the trip. A base bag holds 25 slots; a better backpack adds both, and a backpack is never sold in any shop - it is found.
| Backpack grade | Carry | Slots |
|---|---|---|
| Common | +100 oz | +5 slots |
| Red | +200 oz | +10 slots |
| Gold | +500 oz | +15 slots |
The depot in town holds 30 slots and is the other half of packing: it is
where the supplies for the next trip wait, and where a haul goes so the next one has room.
Two prices for everything
It will always buy your loot and always sell you the basics, at a price that never moves.

It opens at L15 and is where players decide what a drop is actually worth. Almost every interesting item in the game passes through it, and everything a profession makes is aimed at it.
Starting capital is 4,000 gp - enough for a first shopping list and a few trips after it. Everything past that is earned.
No power for moneyPremium buys convenience and time: a fuller journal, more depot pages, a restock that remembers the last trip, a second character slot. It never buys gold, potions, items, safety or content, and the numbers are exact for everyone - a free account plans with the same calculator, reads the same compendium and fights the same monsters with the same odds.
This is a design rule, not a promise about the current build: any feature that
would sell power is not shipped. If you can pay for it, it is because it saved you a tap, not because
it made your character stronger.
